Dirty Goat 2 is a unique and varied collection which celebrates the works of Latin American artists. Considering the plurality which underlines the geographical generalization known as Latin America, DG 2 illustrates how this plurality is reflected in art of these variant cultures. The visual arts section is devoted wholly to paintings, drawings and carvings from Haiti. The expansive poetry selections in this issue includes many of the most notable poets from Latin America including Enrique Lihn, Thelma Nava, Gabriel Zaid and Jorge Guitat. An excerpt from Plìno Marcos' Two Lost in a Filthy Night (published as part of Three Contemporary Brazilian Plays in 1988) highlights the drama section and the prose portion of the journal includes works by Gregorio Martìnez and Wilson Loria.
