Exploring what Jack Kerouac dubbed "The Beat Generation," DG 4 is an artistic exploration of the ideas and artists of this political generation. Beginning with Allen Ginsberg's A Definition of Beat Generation this issue highlights many of the artists that shaped this movement. Ghost-Town by prodigious writer, Gerald Nicosia is a fictionalized account of family issues at the home of an aged Jack Kerouac and represents the drama section of the issue. The Killing Cycle, Alfred Leslie's series of haunting and powerful paintings, is visual representation of the ideals and issues faced by the Beat Generation.
